What is Spray Tan?
Spray Tan is an airbrush tanning system using a product that looks like water.
Three hours after the application, a golden tan develops.

How does it work?
DHA reacts with the amino acids in the outer layer of the skin. The reaction looks
natural as if from the sun.

How long does it last?
It can last from 3 to 10 days. It's different for everyone. It all depends on your skin
and how you care for it following the tanning session. Spray Tan produces color
on the outermost layer of the skin, and that layer is being discarded, cell by cell. As these cells are discarded, your tan fades. Long baths or showers, hot tubs, and swimming pools with chlorine will cause your tan to be short lived.

What kind of results can I expect?

The darker you tan naturally, the darker you will tan with Spray Tan.

Is Spray Tan Safe?
The active ingredient, dihydroxyacetone, has been approved by the FDA for
cosmetic applications for over 30 years. People who have allergies should
request the ingredient sheet to insure there is no cause for concern before proceeding with the tanning process.

I like tanning in the sun and the tanning beds.
Why should I change?
The sun is wonderfully warm and tanning beds are relaxing. We have all heard
how dangerous the sun is to our skin. Most recently, the bulbs from tanning beds
have been proven to be even more damaging to the skin than the sun.

How do i maintain my tan?
"Wear" your tan carefully, and Moisturize! Schedule tanning sessions weekly.

Is Spray Tan safe for pregnant ladies or nursing mothers?
Based on what we know, there is nothing specific in product that would cause
a problem. However, we elect not to take any chances. Therefore, we do not
airbrush pregnant ladies or nursing mothers.

Does Spray Tan contain a sunscreen?
No. The tan appearance you experience from Spray Tan does not prepare you
for going into the natural sun. While you will be a golden bronze color you must
approach natural tanning as if you were absolutely pale. Always avoid
overexposure to the natural sun. Overexposure can cause painful and dangerous
skin damage.

Pre-Tanning Tips

  1. Shower, exfoliate and moisturize before tanning session. Our Avocado Body
    Lotion ensures an even tan.
  2. Wear loose fitting cloths and shoes following the session. Tight fitting
clothes and shoes seen to squeeze the product out of the cells.
  3. Limit your physical activity for several hours following your session. Perspiration may adversely effect the results of the tan.
  4. Avoid immersion in water until the next day if possible. Allow the product to
develop completely before shedding skin cells.
  5. If you wear a garment during the session, you will have tan lines. The
garment should be washed the same day.
  6. DHA reacts with wool, nylon and silk. We do not recommend wearing these
fabrics during or after your tanning session.
  7. Moisturize! Moisturize! It's the best way to maintain your Spray Tan.
